We set out for Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall this morning and made within just a few blocks when a torrential downpour began. After waiting a while for the rain to stop (it still hasn't), we gave up on being model tourists and went to get soup dumplings (again).
After lunch, we headed back to the hotel. We were hanging out in our room when all of sudden the hotel began to shake - earthquake! I grabbed Briggs from his crib and ran for the hall doorway. As I caught my breath I noticed there was no one in the hallway except for me and a housekeeper passing by. And Scott was still sitting at the desk checking his email.
Turns out 5.0 earthquakes don't get many people's attention around here.
